Hannah Tointon
Hannah Tointon is an incredibly talented British actress, who is quickly becoming a household name. Stellar performances on both stage an screen are propelling her acting career with great momentum, and with good reason.
The beginning…
Born on December 28 1987, Hannah is one of a new generation of actresses that are making names for themselves. With parts in very popular shows such as Hollyoaks and The Inbetweeners, Hannah is now a familiar face on television screens up and down the country. The observant amongst you may also have noticed Hannah in televised advertisements for both Cornetto and Clean & Clear.
Hannah was raised in Essex, England along with her sister Kara who is also an actress. In the pursuit of an acting career, Hannah was trained at Vanda’s Stage School where she participated in several plays. In 2000, Hannah also played a main role in a West End production of Whistle Down The Wind.
Television…
Hannah’s television debut was on the Kerching! show for the CBBC back in 2003. However, it was in 2007 that her acting career really gained traction when she was cast as Katy Fox in the popular soap opera Hollyoaks. For the year that followed, Hannah gave great performances before deciding to broaden her horizons and explore other avenues.
Her year spent in Hollyoaks did not go unnoticed though. In 2008 Hannah was nominated for and won, the Most Spectacular Scene Of The Year award at the British Soap Awards. This was a clear testimonial to Hannah’s acting ability.
In 2010, Hannah Tointon appeared in the critically acclaimed Channel 4 show, The Inbetweeners. In just three brief episodes, Hannah managed to add a unique and complimentary dynamic to the familiar gang of hormonal young men.
A bright future…
This year promises to be an interesting year, not least of all because of the forthcoming talent-filled performances that we will be seeing on our screens. Although we don’t know what Hannah has planned for 2011, it will surely be a delight to watch.
